The vest has some good stretch to it, so a couple of inches variability is OK!
The vest should be snug in the chest, but not constricting. Use the length shortener under the logo to line up the leg sleeves over the pet's hips. The end of the vest should NOT meet the tail. The vest should look short on the dog- a couple of inches away from the tail. This will ensure the correct angle of sleeve wear.
Support comes from the sleeves! Even tiny waists will be supported. ie. Boxers or Afghans, Whippets.

The Lucky and Loyal brace has helped 15 year old Piper, our Australian Cattle Dog, with his mobility. He is able to walk on uneven dirt paths without falling over, getting up from lying down quickly, and his right hind leg is not tripping him anymore. His hind legs are, indeed, getting stronger.
Piper is, finally, getting the support he needs and his gait has improved dramatically.
My 13 year old Golden lab mix was having trouble getting up from laying down, walking and doing stairs. He had a torn ACL and at his age we did not wish to repair it surgically. We would have to use a lift to help him up the stairs at night. He was gaining weight from in activity, getting very weak and his quality of life was really suffering. I tried yoga matts and other braces and nothing seemed to help. I stumbled upon the Lucky and Loyal brace while looking for braces one night and decided to give it a chance after reading reviews.
He took to the brace right away with no problems and it was easy to put on and take off. He wore it all day long and then we took it off at night.
With in a week he was getting so much stronger that he could get up and do a few stairs without the vest! Within 3 weeks he went from being able to walk a block to happily walking a mile! This brace is amazing and is worth every penny.
Unfortunately, Dilbert had a tragic GI event and passed away shortly after starting to use this (totally unrelated to the brace!). I don't regret it though as his last few weeks he was so happy being able to get up and walk again. I have no doubt that with time he would have gotten even stronger. I highly recommend this brace for any dog that has leg issues.

These sleeves are helping our German Shepherd who has a neurological disease called Degenerative myelopathy (DM) which is equivalent to Lou Gehrig’s ALS in humans. So we tried the wheelchair and the boots, but these braces work so much better to stabilize her worsening condition. I highly recommend these braces if your dog has DM.
Purchased support vest about a month ago. At first, I thought my Shepherd was not going to like wearing the vest but surprisingly enough she absolutely enjoys it. It’s like she knows it’s helping support her mobility. She even Sleeps with the vest on. The vest has helped her mobility tremendously. Before the vest, all she would wanna do is just lay down, barely move. You could tell she was in pain and uncomfortable. After we purchased the vest. I’d say about three days later it took her some time to get used to it. She loved it. Her mobility is way better. She’s wanting to play more. We can’t get her to come inside. She wants to be outdoors all day chasing the squirrels. This thing has been a game changer for my 13 year old German shepherd. Thank you so much for creating this amazing vest.
We are coming up on a month since the brace has arrived and I cannot believe how great it has worked for my 75 pound (almost) 14 year old boy! My dog had a Librela injection for his severe arthritis and unfortunately had a bad neurological reaction that made him extremely unstable in his back legs. This brace has been amazing in bringing back that stability while also helping him regain muscle that atrophied from the arthritis. My dog is now able to make it all the way down the street and back on our walks again (~20mins) and is no longer falling in the house. We leave the brace on him pretty much 24/7 and he does not mind at all. I love that the brace is adjustable so we can increase/decrease the resistance as needed. Plus it is super easy to clean by just throwing it in the washing machine. Thank you for creating this and giving my dog some extra (QUALITY) time!
