The dog MUST be able to get up still. It's okay if you need to help them. This sleeve was developed for squatty dogs (GSD/ German Shepherds, etc) and those dogs where attaching a sleeve to below the knee is not suitable. Common conditions include: Degenerative Myelitis, Knuckling Dogs and Librela Injury Dogs, and any condition or age related degeneration, slowing. A VEST IS STILL REQUIRED FOR THIS SLEEVE TO BE USEFUL.
