The vest has some good stretch to it, so a couple of inches variability is OK!
The vest should be snug in the chest, but not constricting. Use the length shortener under the logo to line up the leg sleeves over the pet's hips. The end of the vest should NOT meet the tail. The vest should look short on the dog- a couple of inches away from the tail. This will ensure the correct angle of sleeve.
Support comes from the sleeves! Even tiny waists will be supported. ie. Boxers or Afghans, Whippets.

How to put the brace on
Dr. Pierce took time to walk me through the measurement process as I had some questions, and answered a lot of questions about the braces. Really looking forward to getting the braces and hoping they help my boy.
Dr Pierce was gracious I helping me get the correct size for my boy. The brace has made a big difference in his mobility. I love having my boy back t take on walks!

We are VERY excited on receiving our Lucky and Loyal mobility brace set, our 14 year old black lab Jack has not been able to go for his nightly walk in over a month now due to his aging/aching joints... The product is extremely well made! I have conversed via IM and via text with the brilliant Dr that designed this vest. I am convinced it will work to help my baby with her loose patellas and will provide a video as soon as I'm able to have her wear this.
Dr. Pierce worked with me to find the correct size for Helen. She lost the ability to use her back legs. We are working on finding the cause and doing different therapies. She hated the wheel chair I bought for her. She isn't doing zoomies yet, but I believe with some practice she will be on her way. We just started using the brace and I know it will help her! She doesn't object to wearing it at all.
